Police Search For Man who Robbed Wawa in NE Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHA (WTXF)- Philadelphia police are searching for whoever is behind an overnight robbery in Northeast Philadelphia.

Officers were called to the Wawa at Knights and Red Lion Road, just after 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Investigators say a man walked in the store with a pillow case over his head, and demanded cash.

He got away with money and 22 cartons of cigarettes.

Police say he drove off in a dark blue Hyundai sedan.

Authorities say no one was hurt, and a weapon was not shown.
