Police are searching for the man who stole a 16-year-old boy's cell phone in East Germantown.
The incident happened Wednesday around 7:00 P.M. on the 6100 block of Baynton Street. According to police, the 16-year-old male was approached by an unknown black male asking for directions. The teen began walking away when he felt someone grabbing for his phone from his back pocket.
Police say when the teen turned around, he saw the same male. They began fighting over the phone, when the suspect punched him and threw him to the ground.
The suspect fled and was last seen heading west on Cosgrove Street.
