Police searching for alleged armed robber of PNC Bank in Nether Providence

Nether Providence Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a PNC Bank on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred at 11:44 a.m. at the PNC Bank located on the 600 block of Baltimore Pike.

Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving notice about a confirmed robbery that had just occurred.

When they arrived, they interviewed a bank teller, who reported that the suspect walked into the bank and approached the teller station.

The suspect then allegedly implied that he had a gun and presented a demand note.

The teller retrieved an undisclosed amount of money from the drawer and placed it on the counter, which the suspect took before turning and walking out of the front door.

The suspect was seen getting into the passenger's side of an older model (2002-2004) Nissan Altima, black-colored, with a silver front grill and tinted windows.

The vehicle was seen leaving the parking lot on to Beatty Road. It is unknown which direction it turned onto Beatty Road.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6'2", with a slim build, dark skin, in his late 30s with a scruffy beard on his face. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, black hat, and dark pants.
