Police: Teen missing from Glassboro did not want to return to her home in Trinidad
GLASSBORO (WTXF) - Police in Glassboro are searching for a missing 14-year-old who was last seen on October 2.
According to a press release, on October 2 at 11:00 p.m., Sikose Joseph left the home of a relative on Williams Street in Glassboro.
Joseph is a resident of Trinidad and was visiting family for the week. Police believe that Joseph did not want to return to Trinidad and willingly left the home.
Police say Joseph packed her belongings into a dark-colored backpack and an oversized pink purse. She also took a significant amount of cash from the home before leaving.
She does not have a cell phone and left her passport behind.
Area surveillance cameras caught Joseph walking north on Main Street from High Street, across from Angelo's Diner, at 11:02 p.m. on October 2.
Joseph does not have any close friends in the area, no known active social media accounts, and her destination is unknown.
Additional family members live in the New Brunswick/Newark area and they have been alerted to look for her in the event that she travels to that area.
Joseph is a black female, 4'6", and 150 pounds. She was last seen wearing dark pants and a light-colored shirt, carrying a large black backpack and a large pink bag.
