Police: Two Men Shot, Killed in Jasper Street Home

PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) Police say someone shot and killed two men inside a home on the 3600 block of Jasper Street in the city's Harrowgate section on Monday.

Emotions were running high on Jasper Street as family members of the victims arrived on the scene only to hear the tragic news that two young men had been found shot to death in the dining room of a home.

Neighbors didn't want to be identified, but they say it was just after 3 p.m. Monday afternoon when police were called to the home. Inside investigators say they found a bloody scene. According to police, one victim, age 20, lived there and the other, in his late 20's or early 30's, was a visitor to the home.

"Based on ballistic evidence, we know that at least nine shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon. We found nine spent shell casings," police said.

The street quickly filled with grief stricken family members and friends. Some collapsing and sobbing wildly in the street. Police towed one of the victim's cars from the murder scene.

The Crime Scene Unit arrived a short time later along with homicide detectives. Family members were questioned along with neighbors,
