The Bethlehem Police Department released photos of a woman they say took a baby Jesus from a Nativity Scene.

According to police, early Sunday morning, around 2:00 am, on December 4 the statue of baby Jesus was taken from the Nativity Scene at the City of Bethlehem City Hall Plaza. The baby Jesus statue was recovered in Bethlehem Township, according to police. Investigators say a note that didn't make sense was left with the statue.

The female is described as a light skinned female, shoulder length brownish hair, approx. 120-140 lbs., wearing a knee length dark colored coat with hood, dark colored yoga type pants, dark colored flat bottom shoes, and a dark baseball cap.

According to police, she was walking a tan or gold colored medium size dog around the scene. Police say she was driving dark colored 2 door Saturn Ion type vehicle.
