Pottstown police investigate string of home break-ins
Pottstown, Pa. (WTXF) - Police are warning residents in Pottstown after a string of break-ins.
"It's very upsetting and it's very scary." Tammy Young is feeling the panic in Pottstown after police released surveillance images of a suspect wanted for a string of home break-ins. In many cases, families were asleep when the crimes took place.
"We have two kids in the house, so the fact that someone's coming in while they could potentially be sleeping--it's very scary," she said.
Cops say the pictures only show one of the suspected thieves that have hit places like Queen Street.
In all, nearly a dozen burglaries have happened in this wave all over Pottstown Borough where the crooks take things that are easy to pick up and carry usually in the overnight hours.
Police are urging residents to lock their windows and doors.
