Prepping for the Eagles playoff game and for snow in one weekend

It was a day to make preparations, get ready for some snow and get ready for the big game. Fans and folks were out trying to get it all done before the snow started falling.

It was a busy night at Mr. Wings Pizza and Grill on Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia, with call-in orders in advance of the late night snowfall and in advance of another big Eagles playoff game.

"Last Sunday, we had a lot of pre-orders ahead of time. We ordered more on Thursday so we didn't run out of wings, but I did get a lot of phone calls tonight and I've been here all day," Maria Giangrante, manager of Mr. Wings Pizza and Grill, said.

All day, Philly area residents were out and about getting supplies. The chatter, whether at the grocery store or elsewhere, was all about snow or Eagles. Or both.

"Ready for it. I'm making pizza. I got potato chips, a couple of drinks," said Paul Pe.
"Are you stocking up for snow?" asked Fox 29's JoAnn Pileggi.
"We already did that. This is for the game," Pe replied.

Some were stocking up for snow with 600 pounds of ice melt while thinking about the Eagles.

"We contract surrounding areas in North Philadelphia. These are my workers and we're just getting ready for the snow. We call it pennies from heaven," said business owner Alan White.
