Prosecutors: Atlantic City woman found dead in apparent homicide

MAYS LANDING (WTXF) - Police are investigating following a suspected homicide in Atlantic City.

Around 11:30 p.m., police responded to Tennessee Avenue, where they discovered the victim's body.

Officials have since identified the victim, who suffered significant blunt force head trauma, as 56-year-old Vernell K. Vance.

An autopsy has been tentatively scheduled for Monday.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
