Radio host Patty Jackson shares life lessons after surviving stroke

WDAS radio host Patty Jackson continues to recover from a stroke. She says what happened to her is a lesson for all of us.

In November 2015, Jackson fell outside of her home. She got up and moved on with her day caring for her son and entertaining us on the airwaves.

It wasn't until two days later that she carved out enough time to see a doctor. The then 52-year-old learned she had suffered a stroke. She began putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

"It's like I had my own little tsunami," she told FOX 29.

Her right side had been feeling weak, but she assumed it was fatigue from her hectic schedule amidst dealing with the loss of her mother.

Patty had to re-learn how to walk and had issues with her vision that required her to wear an eye patch.

She was a star patient at Moss Rehab and is still featured on their website.
