Regional Rail trains starting back up from Thorndale again
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Service is now slowly returning to normal for early morning commuters headed into the city from the western Main Line.
A wire problem meant travel trouble on SEPTA's Thorndale/Paoli Regional Rail Line.
FOX 29's Bob Kelly now reports service has been restored between the Thorndale and Malvern stations. In fact, Train #9538 was set to depart Thorndale at 7:36am.
The problem started when an Amtrak train had pulled down wires between Thorndale and Malvern, and service was suspended - with no trains running between them - while repairs were being made.
During that time, train service had started from Malvern into Center City. Now, the line is running completely from Thorndale.
Still, passengers may experience delays of up to 30 minutes.
