Rescue Squad Member Dies After Answering Call Involving Daughter
WTXF - A New Jersey rescue squad member with longstanding ties to the community died over the weekend when he suffered a heart attack- after answering an emergency call for an accident involving his own teenaged daughter.
According to Lehigh Valley Live, 49-year-old Eskil "Scott" Danielson had been dispatched Saturday to an accident which involved his own 19-year-old daughter. His daughter turned out to be okay, but Danielson suffered a heart attack while in the waiting room Newton Medical Center. He was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead Saturday night.
Danielson had had many roles in his North Jersey community. He was an emergency services dispatcher, a fireman and a member of the Andover Borough Council. He had served on the Lakeland Rescue Squad since he was a 14-year-old cadet, eventually becoming the squad's chief.
