School bus, SEPTA bus, taxi and SUV involved in Center City crash
CENTER CITY (WTXF) - Traffic is getting back to normal, some five hours after a wild crash that saw a school bus and other vehicles careening through a busy Center City intersection.
SkyFOX was over the scene where the accident occurred on 15th and JFK Boulevard around noon Thursday.
Spectators could hardly believe the site. Eyewitness accounts suggest the taxi cab may have clipped a SEPTA bus, then the cab careened through the intersection of 15 th Street, veered left into a school bus, which then went into a black Lincoln SUV. The three vehicles plowed through a traffic light with the SUV demolishing the bank window.
There were no kids on board the school bus at the time of the crash. Officials say 14 SEPTA passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, The cab driver and school bus driver were also taken to the Hahnemann Hospital hospital with minor injuries. No one was injured inside the bank.
Crews are working to repair the bank window at this hour.
