Sensory Santa visits local children

It was a day to remember for some area children with special needs. Saint Joe's University hosted a "sensory friendly" visit with Santa Claus so children with autism could meet Saint Nick.

Organizers say sometimes the holidays can be overwhelming for children on the autism spectrum, especially waiting in those long lines at crowded malls to meet Santa. So on Saturday, they were given a chance to get that sought-after photo in a much calmer environment!

Saint Joe's Kinney Center has been hosting this event for five years and counting.
