Snake Catcher "Uncuffs" Python

WTXF/STORYFUL - A snake catcher in Australia recently came to the rescue of a woman whose pet python had constricted her, in a handcuff-like position, at 3 a.m. on Thursday. The woman's roommate called the snake catcher.

"She was handling the snake when it bit her on the thumb and proceeded to constrict her hands together so she was basically handcuffed and couldn't get it off," the snake catcher said.

After over-the-phone directions, the snake released its grip.

PET PYTHON CONSTRICTS OWNERS HANDS TOGETHER and Roommate Calls me for Help...AT 3AM!!! This is Hilarious! This story will make you laugh. So I received a call at 3am this morning from a guy who woke up due to the screams of his roommate who had been bitten by her pet Black Headed Python. She was handling the snake when it bit her on the thumb and proceeded to constrict her hands together so she was basically handcuffed and couldn't get it off haha. He had no real experience with snakes and she was starting to stress out so he gave me a call. This is a first for me where I have had to help people over the phone to get their own pet python off themselves. The guy had no real experience with snakes and they couldn't get the snake to loosen its grip. After the snake had stopped biting her it continued to constrict her hands together like you can see in the photo. The guy was very relaxed and kept her calm while he tried to uncoil the snake, but with no luck. I then told him that he would have to head grab the python in order to be a bit more forceful with uncoiling it, I got him to send me a picture of the situation so that I could give them the appropriate advice. After about 20 mins on the phone they were finally able to get the snake off her hands safely and back into the enclosure. Thank goodness for that! At one stage I thought I was going to have to get in my car and drive over and give them a hand. Had a few calls come in today so keep an eye out for snakes on the move tonight! Stu.
