Suspect charged with murder of teen girl, man in Delaware

BELVEDERE, Del. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in the fatal shootings of a man and a teenage girl in northern Delaware earlier this year.

New Castle County police say 32-year-old Glenford Blackwood was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with murder in the June 17 shootings of 15-year-old Doris Dorsey and 35-year-old Vincent DiMenco.

Police found Dorsey inside a car parked outside a home in Belvedere and DiMenco a short distance away. Both died at the scene.

Investigators say Dorsey was the homeowner's daughter, and that DiMenco was the homeowner's friend.

Authorities do not believe that Blackwood was known by either victim, but that he was known to one of the homeowners.

It was not immediately clear whether Blackwood has an attorney.
