Suspect sought in West Philadelphia homicide

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting on Wednesday afternoon in West Philadelphia.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., officers posted on 52 Street and Market Street heard a loud bang. Shortly thereafter, officers witnessed a 24-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest collapse on the 5100 block of Market Street.

The victim was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead around 4:00 p.m. Authorities have identified the victim as Quinton Folston.

Police have not identified any suspects at this time.
