Suspects sought after attempted home invasion in Northeast Philadelphia
NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - Police are searching for two men who they say attacked a woman as she entered her home in Northeast Philadelphia overnight.
The 27-year-old woman was entering her home on the 3500 block of Cottman Avenue just before 4:00 a.m. Wednesday when two men reportedly came up behind her and forced her into her apartment. The woman tells police one man was armed with a gun and the other was armed with a knife. Police say the men beat the woman and the gun was fired, though no gunfire struck the victim.
After the men fled, the victim was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital to treat a wound on her head from when the men struck her. She is currently in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
