Police say two girls who were involved in an ongoing disagreement began fighting at the bus stop near Paris Avenue and 6th St. South.
Police say a 15-year-old girl stabbed a 16-year-old girl in the back and then ran onto the bus.
The view from SkyFOX showed the bus was stopped near the intersection of Paris Avenue and 6th Street South, surrounded by law enforcement officers.
The injured girl was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment and the 15-year-old suspect was taken into custody.
She is facing two felony charges of aggravated battery and possession of a weapon on school property.
She also faces an additional charge of aggravated assault for threatening the victim's mother with a pair of scissors.
The injured teen was reportedly stable with a serious injury, police say, but is expected to survive.
More than two dozen of the students on board were transported to Gibbs High School.
