The story behind this amazing picture of a dog riding with a bicyclist

COLUMBUS, Ga. - A bicyclist who helped a stray dog that had been hit by a car ended up introducing the pup to his new owner.

His name is Columbo. In a now viral post, the pup is seen riding on Jarrett Little's back.

Little said the pup was hungry and thirsty as well as showed signs of a leg injury.

The two didn't get far before a driver pulled over to help.

The driver ended up taking Columbo to a vet, paying for all of his medical bills, and then adopting him.
