Town hall meeting held after KKK flyers distributed in Montgomery and Bucks counties
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (FOX 29) - Local leaders gathered at the Springfield Township building for a town hall meeting regarding recent incidents of KKK flyers being distributed to residents in surrounding areas.
When Jeannie Lawston went outside her Abington home in January, she found racist and anti-semitic literature. There was a letter put on her driveway addressed from the Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan
On Monday, a panel of local community and religious leaders gathered in Springfield Township learned it's happening elsewhere, too. Letters have been found in Pennsburg, Hatboro, Upper Moreland, Upper Dublin, Abington, Whitemarsh and Springfield townships.
With phone numbers and a website on the literature--it's clear the group is looking for more members. Even the president of the local school board was recently targeted.
