U.S. Marshals seek doctor accused of unlawfully prescribing opioids
BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (FOX 29) - Authorities are searching for a doctor accused of illegally prescribing opioids. He is believed to be in the Bucks County area.
Investigators say while Marcus Williams was employed as a doctor for Advanced Urgent Care in Philadelphia and Montgomeryville, Williams illegally prescribed over 70 fraudulent prescriptions for pain medication in 2014.
He is one of 13 indicted doctors and physicians assistants that were charged by the United States Attorneys Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Jan 9.
Williams is 60 years old. He is described as 6-feet-tall, 190 pounds, hazel eyes and has a bald head. Williams also has a tattoo on the right side of his neck. His last known address was in the 600 block of East Gay Street in West Chester Pa.
Investigators believe Williams may be homeless and has recently been frequenting Warrington, Bensalem and Warminster Pa.
