VIDEO: Armed suspect holds up West Oak Lane pizza shop

Philadelphia police are looking to identify and locate two men they say were involved in the robbery of a pizza shop in West Oak Lane.

On Wednesday, September 11, police say the two suspects approached Papa Joe's Pizza around closing time.

One suspect waited outside while the other went inside with a gun in hand. Surveillance video of the incident shows the suspect pointing the handgun at an employee behind the counter. Police say the suspect demanded the employee open the register, and then reached inside, taking approximately $500.

For the owner of Papa Joe's Pizza, the sight of the gun-toting suspect entering his store just before closing time had him thinking about just one thing--his family.

"I see my kids that's the only thing. I have four kids so that's the only thing that's in my mind at the time," he explained.

The suspect then fled the store and took off on foot with the other suspect. Police have described both suspects as black males, approximately 20-year-old.

On Thursday afternoon, just after 2 p.m., police raced to a MetroPCS store just a half block away after it was robbed. Investigators are trying to determine if the two robberies are connected.
