Video shows kids cursing, swearing and spitting at SEPTA riders
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) A video posted on Facebook apparently by the passenger who shot the footage packs a horrendous behavior into just 92 seconds.
SEPTA Police identified all of the children and parents on Tuesday night and are assisting them with social services. We've blurred the video to protect the children's identity.
Their facial expressions tell part of the story. SEPTA officials tell FOX 29 an adult female caregiver boarded the Market-Frankford El with five youngsters at 2nd and Market around 7:30 p.m. last Thursday night.
In the video, the children are seen running, swearing at, spitting at, and punching fellow riders all as the adult caregiver tries in vain to reign them in.
We even showed the footage to a city lawmaker.
"It's a collective effort. You know that saying, 'It takes a village to raise a child'? Well, it does, and that village had better stand up," said city lawmaker Al Taubenberger.
FOX 29 made repeated attempts to contact the passenger who shot the video. All attempts were unsuccessful.
