Wayward emu is safely captured in Delaware

A wayward emu that had been loose and roaming free in Seaford, Delaware was captured Saturday, November 4 after a month long adventure.

The flightless bird found itself confined inside the West Seaford Elementary School playground. The Seaford Police Department, Delaware Department of Agriculture, Delaware Animal Services and Delaware Fish and Wildlife were all called upon to aid in the capture of the feathered escape artist along with the assistance of the Three Palms Zoo.

Three Palms Zoo commented on their Facebook page the emu was safe. They were seeking help in finding the owner of the bird.
