Woman, 4 juveniles unharmed after barricade situation in West Philadelphia; Man being held

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - A man is being held after a barricade situation took place Sunday in West Philadelphia.

Police were called to the unit block of South Salford Street before 10 Sunday morning on the report of a person with a gun.

Officials say when they arrived, shouting could be heard within the dwelling and a barricade situation was declared.

A woman came out of the building before 10:30 a.m., but officials said four children were still in the dwelling. A SWAT team was able to clear the house just before 10:45.

Authorities say a man is being held in regard to the investigation. No injuries were reported because of the incident.
