A man and woman are injured following a single-car crash on Kelly Drive Friday evening.

Around 9 p.m., officers responded to the scene, where a woman driving a 2001 Buick reportedly lost control of her vehicle and struck three light poles before slamming into a tree.

The 29-year-old driver and 53-year-old male passenger were trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire officials.

Both the man and woman were transported to Hahnemann University Hospital. The woman is listed in stable condition, while the man is listed in critical condition. The male passenger sustained major injuries, including broken ribs, a collapsed lung and internal injuries.

Police say the woman, who was driving with a suspended license from a prior DUI, was arrested for aggravated assault while driving under the influence. Charges are currently pending.
