Woman jumps from burning home in Nicetown

NICETOWN (WTXF) - Emergency crews in Nicetown are investigating an early morning fire that forced a woman to jump out of the second floor of her home.

The fire broke out around 1:30 a.m. Monday on the 1700 block of West Juniata Street.

Authorities say a 50-year-old woman jumped from the second floor of the burning home. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries to her head. She is listed in stable condition.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No other injuries were reported as a result of the blaze.
