Woman Tries to Return Coat, Gets a Nice Surprise
(WTXF) - A lot of people in the weeks following the holidays have horror stories about returning gifts. One woman experienced the exact opposite.
According to a Facebook post that's gone viral, a woman in the Boston area named Kelly ordered a winter coat from Zulily. Once she realized that the coat wouldn't work well with her family's dogs, Kelly decided to return the coat, which was still unopened.
The company not only offered to refund her money, but they did one better: They didn't even ask for the coat back.
"Please don't send it back," the customer service representative told Kelly. "If you know someone who needs a winter coat or if you would like to donate it to a charity, that would make us very happy."
"I'm a customer for LIFE," she wrote. "The world needs more LOVE like that. Honest business. Honest ethics. How refreshing!"
