A foggy, gray start gives way to rain by midday before drier air and some late sunshine return. Temperatures start in the mid-50s, with the steadiest rain expected between about 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Forecasters say it won’t be a total washout, but it should be enough to help clear some of the pollen from the air. By late afternoon and toward sunset, clouds begin to break and some sun returns. Cooler air moves in behind the system, with temperatures falling into the 40s before a chilly start to the week.
