Snow, Sleet And Rain Expected To Impact The Area

There will be roller coaster temperatures over the next few days. A Winter Advisory will be in effect starting 3 p.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

We will see snowfall from 2-6 p.m. According to FOX 29's Chief Meteorologist Scott Williams, the snow will change over to sleet by the evening rush.

From 6- 9 p.m., the Philadelphia region will see a wintry mix.

From 9 p.m. to midnight, we should expect the wintry mix to change to rainfall.

As far as snowfall totals most areas will only see a coating to an inch. Icing is a main concern with this system. Along the I-95 Corridor we could see a .10" of ice and in Berks County we may see up to .25" of ice with this storm.

It will be rainy and mild on Wednesday and we'll dry out by the weekend.

On Thursday, cold air will rush and with it we could see a heavy, wet snow Wednesday night into the Thursday morning rush. Scott Williams says it could be our heaviest snowfall of the season.
