Weather Authority: Bitter cold moving in after Sunday's snow
PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A system that brought a mixture of snow and rain to most of the area overnight has moved out of the area, and crews are working to clear the roads.
Dozens of area schools announced delayed openings and even closings Monday morning as snow began to fall Sunday evening.

The system brought a few inches of snow to parts of the area before higher temperatures turned that precipitation to rain.
Areas to the north and west saw the most snow with 7 inches in Perkasie and just under 7 inches in East Stroudsburg. Princeton, New Jersey saw more than 3 inches while Philadelphia saw about an inch.

Monday will be mild with a high of 38, and that will be the closest we come to 40 degrees for several days. Temperatures will plunge into the 20s and teens overnight into Tuesday morning .
Wednesday will be the coldest day with a high of just 25 degrees.
