Weather Authority: Mild temperatures moving in after round of wintry weather

Wednesday's snow and rain has moved out of the area and will be followed by milder temperatures as we get closer to the weekend.

Most of the area saw between 2-4 inches of snow and sleet Wednesday before the rain moved in.

Dozens of area schools were closed Wednesday and will open on delayed schedules Thursday morning.
