100 new shoes for 100 girls back to school drive set in West Philly

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Young girls in Philadelphia got some new "kicks" Saturday.

Hosted by the nonprofit High Heels High Hope, Inc., it's part of a back to school drive to give away 100 shoes for 100 girls.

The day's event was sponsored by different businesses and community organizations, including Indego, Penn Medicine and Better Bike Share.

There were giveaways, snacks and bike lessons and rides for girls and their families.
