11-year-old girl with leukemia reaches out to Taylor Swift via YouTube video after learning she will

(WTXF/STORYFUL) -- A little girl is reaching out to Taylor Swift via a YouTube video after learning she will have to miss an upcoming concert due to her treatments for leukemia.

11-year-old Naomi was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) on June 25 after undergoing tests when her parents noticed excessive bruising on her body.

According to the National Cancer Institute AML is a "type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes abnormal myeloblasts, red blood cells, or platelets."

It's also a very aggressive form of cancer - so aggressive that, according to the "Naomi's Bad Blood" video, Naomi cannot leave the hospital for the entire duration of her treatment which is expected to take around 6 - 9 months.

That means Naomi won't be able to attend the Taylor Swift contest in Phoenix on August 18 with her best friend Piper. Naomi received the tickets as a Christmas present.

So Naomi created a YouTube video entitled "Naomi's Bad Blood" explaining her journey and her family members' hopes that it will capture Swift's attention.

They hope that Swift will give #TeamNaomi - Naomi's friends, family, and supporters - a shout out on her Instagram, according to the video.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Naomi's family with her medical expenses.
