14-year-old dies after being stabbed, shot inside Bucks County home

The house where a teen girl was stabbed and shot remained dark Monday night. No one was seen coming or going all evening. According to the Bucks County District Attorney's office Facebook page the 14-year-old girl died at St. Christopher's Hospital just after 10 this morning.

Neighbors said off camera she was quiet and they mostly saw her getting on and off her school bust and running into the house on Sycamore Avenue in Croydon. They say they never really saw her playing outside with friends like other kids in the neighborhood. One neighbor says the girl has only lived in the house for about a year.

Investigators say last Friday the girl's parents came home around 6:30 at night and found her. They say the girl's 20-year-old cousin who also lives in the home and has been there about 10 years was found along State Road in Bensalem. He'd shot himself in the neck investigators say. Authorities said today that he's still in the hospital in stable condition. It's all still confusing to neighbors who spoke to FOX 29 right after it happened.

"We never hear of any type of shootings or gangs or anything in Croydon. It's kind of quiet," said Jessica Morrow.

Three days after the incident investigators say no charges have been filed at this time. They're asking the public's help with information on the case and they're looking for surveillance video in the area.
