2 armed robbery suspects loose after weekend MontCo heist

Two men robbed a bank -- one of them with a handgun -- and now the FBI and police are hoping surveillance pictures can help you identify them and report them.

The armed robbery happened just before 3pm Saturday at the TD Bank branch on W. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, and ten photos from the bank's security cameras have been released.

Authorities said they walked in and one gave a demand note to a teller. Then, "He vaulted the bank counter and brandished a handgun. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the subjects fled the area of the bank."

That first suspected robber is described as in his late 20s, about 5'9" tall, weighing 165 pounds, with teardrop tattoos around his right eye and star tattoos near his left eye. He was wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, a navy Nike cap, and glasses.

The other is described as in his early to mid-20s, about 5'9" tall, with a thin build. He wore a maroon hooded sweatshirt, jeans and a tan cap.

They are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or Plymouth Township Police Department at 610-279-1901.
