2 men critically wounded after drive-by shooting in Germantown

Police are investigating after two men were critically injured in a drive-by shooting in Germantown overnight.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. at Wissahickon and Midvale avenues.

Police say three men were sitting in a van when someone in another vehicle opened fire, striking two of the van's passengers.

One of the victims, a 23-year-old man, was shot four times. The second victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot once in the chest and once in the arm. Both were transported to Temple University Hospital.

It's not clear how many shooters were involved or how many shots were fired. But authorities believe three men were inside the vehicle that sped away from the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made at this time.
