2 Philadelphia cops released from hospital in fentanyl scare

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Two Philadelphia police officers are out of the hospital after they may have been exposed to fentanyl.

The officers were conducting a drug investigation in the city's Strawberry Mansion section on Monday night when they may have been exposed to the synthetic opioid.

They were taken to Temple University Hospital, where they were released overnight.

Police have not released additional details.
