2 teens riding bike injured in hit-and-run
PHILADELPHIA (AP/WTXF) -- Police have arrested a driver suspected of taking off after hitting two teenagers riding a bike in Philadelphia.
The 16-year-olds were riding double on North Broad Street when they were hit around 2 a.m. Friday. Police say the impact dislodged the front wheel of the bike and it was found 50 feet away from the crash.
One teen is in critical condition with a head injury and the other is in stable condition with a broken leg.
Police say the driver, Brandon Carter,34, has been charged with two counts of the following: Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Aggravated Assault While DUI, Recklessly Endangering another Person, DUI-Drugs or Alcohol, and related offenses.
