26-year-old man killed in Point Breeze shooting

One man was killed after a shooting in Point Breeze.

Police responded to a shots fired call Sunday about 8:30 p.m. on the 2300 block of Fernon Street.

According to officials, police arrived and discovered a 26-year-old man shot multiple times in the chest.

The man was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center and placed in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police say the investigation is ongoing. Officials did find a weapon, but no arrests have been made.
