3 hurt in 2 seperate Germantown shooting overnight

Philadelphia Police are investigating two shootings in Germantown that left three people injured early Tuesday morning.

Investigators say a man and woman were walking out of a Chinese restaurant on the 5000 block of Germantown Avenue when a gunman opened fire around 1 a.m.

Officers arrived on the scene to find a 22-year-old woman lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the back. She was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

A short time after the shooting a 25-year-old man showed up at Einstein Hospital saying he was also shot in the incident, and was struck in the lower back. He was listed in stable condition.

Police say the woman who was injured may have been an innocent victim in the shooting, and more than 30 shots were fired.

About 30 minutes before that shooting, police say another woman was shot on the 5200 block of Germantown Avenue.

The woman was struck in the foot, and taken to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made in either shooting, but officers are hoping surveillance cameras can help provide them with some clues.
