3 indicted in 15-year-old's shooting death in Wilmington

Three men have been charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old Delaware high school student.

Delaware's Attorney General's Office announced in a statement Thursday that three men were indicted Monday on murder, conspiracy, weapons and gang participation charges in the death of Brandon Wingo last month.

Officials say 20-year-old Kevon Harris-Dickerson of Newark, 19-year-old Zaahir Smith of Newark and 18-year-old Diamonte Taylor of Wilmington were members of the Shoot To Kill gang and the shooting was another violent act by the gang. Officials say they believe the trio helped plan and aided in the killing.

Officials say 34-year-old Latasha Pierce of Wilmington was indicted on charges related to providing a firearm to a person prohibited and falsely reporting it stolen.

He was a student at the same school -- Howard High School of Technology -- where another teen, Amy Joyner-Francis, died after a fight in the bathroom in April.
