3 teen boys, 1 girl hospitalized after being shot in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (WTXF/AP) - Four teenagers are in the hospital -- one of them in extremely critical condition -- after they were all shot in Trenton, Tuesday night.

Police say it happened before 10 p.m. near Division and Hewitt streets.

A 15-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was shot in his head and leg.

Two 16-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl were also hit with wounds all over their bodies.Their conditions have not yet been released.

One of those boys was shot in his arm, and the other was hit in his thigh. The girl was struck in the shoulder and back.

Dozens of crime markers were strewn across the scene and police escorted neighbors waking up to the investigation from their homes, since they were in the middle of a crime scene.

The investigation is well underway. Police have not released information on a motive or suspects.
