5 displaced after overnight house fire spread

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - An overnight fire spread to several homes and displaced several neighbors in West Philadelphia.

At about 3:30am, crews were called to a three-story house in the 5000 block of Race Street that was undergoing renovation.

Investigators say no one was inside at the time, but heavy winds caused the fire to spread to the houses both sides of that home.

The neighbors had to be evacuated. Five people have been displaced.

One person was sent to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire.
