(INSIDE EDITION) - A teenage girl has been charged with the grisly murders of her mother and her mother's boyfriend, police said, after the couple's rotting bodies were found in a New York apartment they all shared.
The 15-year-old daughter allegedly confessed the killings to her cousin, who contacted the New York Police Department, authorities said.
Officers found the bloodied bodies Sunday night, riddled with bullet and stab wounds, police said. The victims were identified as Rosie Sanchez, 38, and her live-in boyfriend Anderson Nunez, 40.
After questioning the daughter for much of the night, the teen was charged with two counts of murder, authorities said.
The teenager allegedly told her cousin that Nunez had sexually assaulted her on numerous occasions, and that her mother did nothing to stop it, according to the New York Daily News.
The killings occurred two days after Christmas, the girl allegedly told her cousin. After that, the daughter stayed with her father for a few days, then moved into her cousin's Brooklyn home, the paper reported.
She also went to Times Square to celebrate New Year's Eve, authorities said. She will be tried as an adult, the paper said.
