A fun evening for all as St. Patrick's Day festivities kick-off

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (WTXF) - Weather didn't impact the unofficial kick-off to Saint Patrick's Day festivities.

Irish bands, food, drink and dancing were the ingredients for a fun evening for the St. Patrick's Day Observance Association fundraiser February 25. It took place at the Fraternal Order of Police Hero's Hall.

FOX 29's own Kathy Orr, Bob Kelly and Lucy Noland were able to be a part of the festivities.

The 2018 St. Patrick's parade theme is "Saint Patrick - Bless Those Who Respond to the Call of the Needy.

The Grand Marshall of the parade is Sister Mary Scullion, the heart behind Project Home.

The Saint Patrick's Day parade will be broadcast on FOX 29 Sunday, March 11 at 12 p.m.
