Accident Causes Partial Closure of Pa. Turnpike in Somerset County
Somerset County, Pa. (WTXF) The Pa. Turnpike is closed westbound between Breezewood and New Stanton Interchanges due to a multiple accident involving tractor trailers in Somerset County.
The accident involves two tractor trailers, a car carrier and another vehicle, according to officials. Three injuries are reported and those individuals are being transported to local hospitals.
The suggested detour for westbound traffic is: Exit at Breezewood Interchange (Exit #161), take I-70 east 24 miles to exit 1A (68/40 West, Cumberland, Maryland, 65.5 miles) to exit 14B (Uniontown) following 40 west to U.S. 119 north (63 miles) to reenter the PA Turnpike at the New Stanton Interchange (Exit #75).
