ACCT Philly out of kennel space, seeking dog adoptions

ACCT Philly took to Facebook Wednesday to announce their kennel space was completely full, and they are seeking loving homes for a number of pets in order to avoid euthanasia.

The Animal Care and Control team asked for help on their page, and announced that they had waived adoption feeds for all dogs over 35 lbs.

As of Thursday afternoon, ACCT had approximately 51 'amazing and loving' large dogs available for adoption.

They are hoping to avoid having to euthanize sweet loving dogs, saying that despite the efforts of staff, rescues, and volunteers, they may need to euthanize dogs to create space.

ACCT is currently diverting surrenders, and making appointments for next week, in hopes that people can open their homes to dogs in need.

ACCT Philly is located at 111 W Hunting Park Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19140. Adoption hours are weekdays, 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. and weekends, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
