After Crashing Into Taco Bell, Delaware Man Charged With DUI

A Delaware man has been charged with driving under the influence after he crashed his a 2007 Honda Fit into a Taco Bell, damaging the restaurant as well as a nearby car, on Thursday afternoon.

According to Delaware State Police , the driven by 48-year-old Lonney M. Stewart drifted across Highway 202, striking first a raised concrete island and two traffic signs, and eventually a brick wall located at the Taco Bell at 3902 Concord Pike. Debris from that wall struck a GMC Yukon, being driven by a 50-year-old woman, in the parking lot.

Stewart and his passenger were both treated for non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the other car was injured. The Taco Bell remained open, although its drive-through was closed for a time.
